β’ More than 12,000 firms are active, most of them small with an average of six employees. Companies with 20 or more employees show the strongest growth.
β’ Financial results improved in 2023. Cashflow, liquidity, and profitability all increased. Investment prioritized digital planning and prefabrication.
β’ Key obstacles include bureaucracy, weak client planning, and labour shortages. These factors continue to slow project delivery.
β’ Timber construction is gaining market share in both residential and non-residential segments.
β’ Collaboration across firms is rising, especially through bidder groups and joint project teams.
β’ Apprenticeship numbers remain high at more than 8,600, with a growing share of women entering the field.
